Strong enough that you don't worry about losing
It's a much heavier chain and cross than other I've bought, and the older ones snapped and got lost. Like the size and feel of this purchase and would recommend the 24" chain as a 20" would never have fit. Use a 20/24 inch shoelace to measure first to determine your size needed. Just a suggestion.

I have an older, less substantial Celtic Cross that I wore for 11 years. Now that the cross is showing extreme wear, it was time for a new cross. The new cross and the chain are a definite upgrade from the older one and a great value for the price paid. Also, the customer service was excellent!
