Biddy Murphy Expands Online

Biddy Murphy began in 2004 as a storefront shop in South Haven, Michigan. Over the years, we’ve grown exponentially, expanding into an online eCommerce site and becoming a regular Amazon seller.  In recent years, we have reached the point where 99% of our business was done online and now we have made the decision to make that 100% with the closure of our South Haven store location.

I loved having the chance to meet our customers in the store every year and to talk with them about our products, but we’ve now reached a point where our online business has grown so much, we really need to focus on that side exclusively.” 

BiddyMurphy.com will still offer the same exclusive, quality, Irish-made products that we always have, with the same personalized touch. Customer service has always been our top priority, and even though we’ll no longer be talking face to face, that commitment has not changed. We will always strive for 100% satisfaction from our customers. If your item doesn’t fit or isn’t exactly what you wanted, we’ll be happy to exchange it at our cost - we want you to be as happy as you would be if you tried it on in the store!

So, what’s changing? Well, Ward is disappointed that he can no longer offer you a complimentary Guinness (unless you catch him at the bar, that is) and Mocha, our official canine greeter, is going to miss all the extra hugs. But, you get to enjoy our store 24/7 now, and best of all, there are no stairs to climb to get there! You can shop in your pajamas from wherever you are, instead of trying to find us downtown.

“I’m so grateful for all of the people who have frequented the shop over the years,” says Ward. “There are familiar faces that we’ll miss seeing every summer, and of course, I’ll miss having the chance to chat everyone up! Customer service has always been what sets Biddy Murphy apart and we absolutely carry that over to our online business as well.  We hope that everyone will continue to shop and enjoy our selection of authentic Irish products as we enter this new phase.”
